Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest and acclimatise to Leh’s high altitude. If you feel well, take a gentle evening walk through Leh Market or visit Shanti Stupa for sunset views. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

Day 02

Leh Sightseeing & Magnetic Hill

Description

Visit Leh’s main attractions: Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Phyang Monastery. Continue to Sangam, where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet. Later visit Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib before returning to Leh. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

Day 03

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Drive to Nubra Valley over Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable passes. Visit Diskit Monastery and the Hunder sand dunes. Camel rides are optional, at your own cost and subject to availability. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra.

Nubra to Turtuk & Balti Culture

Drive to Turtuk, a village near the Line of Control. Learn about Balti culture, walk through the village and visit its historic mosque and monastery, subject to access and opening hours. Stop at scenic viewpoints on the way and return to Nubra. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra.

Nubra to Pangong Lake

Description

Drive to Pangong Lake along the Shyok River route, with mountain and valley views throughout. Pangong is known for its changing shades of blue and green. Spend the evening by the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at Pangong.

Day 06

Pangong to Leh via Chang La & Thiksey

Drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass. Stop at Thiksey Monastery, known for its large complex and architecture. Continue to Leh and relax. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
